2023 HESS Consortium National Conference on November 15-16, 2023 at the beautiful & historic Galt House Hotel in Louisville, KY!
The 2023 HESS Consortium National Conference will be the biggest and best and most affordable conference yet for our private, non-profit member institutions!

This year is the first in-person conference for the HESS Consortium since 2019 and this year will be a great reunion of private institution CIOs, CTOs, CFOs, and Directors as well as many other technology and higher education professionals from all areas.

We are very excited about our brand-new conference location at the historic, riverfront Galt House Hotel in downtown Louisville, KY. The Galt House guest rooms and meeting/dining spaces are all newly remodeled and are located within a short walking distance to many great attractions including The Speed Art Museum, The Mohammad Ali Center, The Louisville Slugger Museum and many downtown shops and restaurants. The Galt House has 6 restaurants for accompanying family and friends and is connected to the KFC Yum Center Arena. In 2023, our two-day conference will feature member presentations, workshops and business partner presentations from many of our HESS Business Partners. Day one will feature our member presentations and workshops along with workshops from our platinum business partners on a variety of operations and strategic technology topics. On day two, the event with include product/ software demonstrations and cohort leadership meetings with our major ERP partners including Anthology, Ellucian, Jenzabar, Oracle and Workday.

As always, we try our best to keep our cost low for our private college and university members. This year, the conference early registration is only $150 per attendee and includes all sessions and all meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) in the registration cost. The negotiated standard room costs at the beautiful Galt House Hotel are only $189 per night.

Again this year, our conference schedule will feature all of the meetings with executives from our enterprise system partner companies, demonstrations of their software solutions and the business partner showcase, introducing you to new products and services from our HESS Consortium Business Partners and Affiliates. Most importantly, there will be lots of time to engage and network with other CIOs, CTOs, CFOs, and technology professionals from all areas as well as other professionals from finance, human resources and academic leadership from private, non-profit colleges and universities from the U.S.

The most important part of the conference this year is reuniting our community of practice of technology leadership in private higher education. The friendships and connections made at the HESS Conference are ones that truly enrich our personal and professional lives. Once again, we are asking our top ERP business partners to demonstrate their software to our members in finance, accounting, human resources, academic management and student financial aid solutions (and other solutions available). The HESS Conference is the only place that you and your campus leaders can come and experience all of the major enterprise system solutions in one place and meet with those companies’ top leadership.

All sessions, as always, are tailored for private, non-profit colleges and universities. Our schedule for DAY ONE this year will now include three (3) tracks of concurrent sessions on a variety of topics including executive leadership, best-practices, information security from our top HESS business partners as well as many of our member institutions. These sessions will be specifically developed to speak to the technical and operational challenges of private colleges and universities with staff and resource constraints. Our schedule will be available after our session schedule is finalized.

Our schedule for DAY TWO of the conference will include five (5) concurrent tracks of sessions from the major enterprise systems software companies demonstrating their solutions features and advancements to current and prospective customers. Expected major enterprise solution partners include Anthology, Ellucian, Jenzabar, Oracle and Workday. We are also introducing the concept of user best-practices workshops as an option to our ERP solution partners.

DAY TWO will also feature our HESS ERP Cohort Groups that allow our members to engage with their enterprise solution provider executive leadership teams and to give feedback on their products and services. Our schedule will be available after our session schedule is finalized.

We sincerely hope that you and your other staff and campus members will join us for this year’s HESS Consortium National Conference for private, non-profit colleges and universities. We believe this will be an amazing event to bring our technology community-of-practice together to share information, experience and ideas with each other.
